It is the perfect area for elephant and leopard and the area boasts the highest concentration of Rhino in the park.

This afternoon we will take you out on your first safari drive in search for some amazing animals. This will be a very exciting time for you and we hope to find something special on this first afternoon.

Day 4. Kruger National Park and Hazyview Day Trip

Today is sure to be an entertaining adventure for the whole family. We will have a more relaxed start to the day instead of the usual pre sunrise wake up call. We will go out on a short morning safari on the way to the western gate of Kruger, Phabeni, this is an area where we can spot elephant, buffalo and white rhino. Once we exit the park we will travel the short distance to Hazyview, a small town close to Kruger National Park. Here you can choose between 3 exciting activities that are not just interactive but also very fun and educational.

Perry`s Bridge Reptile Park, is a unique reptile park housing snakes, crocodiles, alligators, tortoise, frogs and many more creepy crawlies that usually bring fear into most of the worlds human inhabitants. The idea behind the Reptile Park is to educate in a fun and interesting way and to show that we actually don`t have anything to fear from these amazing creatures and that we rely on them in many more ways than one for us humans to exist without too much trouble from pests that can carry disease.

The Elephant Sanctuary is a place where young orphaned elephants have been raised and in the process have accepted humans into their daily lives. Sanctuaries like these are the only places where we can get up and close to normally very dangerous animals. The sanctuaries also act as research stations to learn more about elephant behaviour and how we can keep the species alive for centuries to come. There are various options for interaction with the elephants including feeding, washing, walking and riding the elephants.

The Shangaan Tribe is the tribe that live in and around the southern section of Kruger National Park, their culture is unique and has some amazing traditions. At the Shangaan Cultural Village we can see and experience some of these traditions without imposing ourselves on their daily lives.

We will have an own expense lunch in town before we head back to Kruger and back to our camp for dinner.
Please note that it might not be possible to do all the activities and that all activities outside Kruger are optional and for own expense.

Meals Included: Breakfast and Dinner.

Day 5 Kruger National Park. (Satara Rest Camp)

This morning we will head out on another exciting sunrise safari, we will follow the Sabie River and try to find a Leopard, the area along the Sabie River is known to have the highest density of Leopard in Kruger. The River has many Hippo, Crocodile and it attracts various other animals to its alluring water. We will return to camp for a hearty breakfast and then continue north towards our next camp, Satara.

On route to Satara we will stop for drinks at a beautiful picnic site. We will then continue north and travel through a few different lion territories with some well-known lion prides, if we are lucky we may see the rare white lioness. We will arrive at Satara in the middle of the day just in time for lunch. You will then have some time to relax, check out some of the camp facilities, before we depart on an afternoon drive to explore the area. We will be staying at Satara for the next 2 nights and your family will be staying in 2 bedroom family units.

Satara is located in the grasslands of Kruger, this attracts many grazing animals to the area. It is an excellent area for viewing the wildlife and there is a waterhole just outside the fence where you can spot animals whilst at camp.

This evening you will enjoy an own expense dinner at the camp restaurant before departing on a Kruger night drive. A night drive will provide you with a chance to see some of the big cats on the hunt, you could also see some of the smaller nocturnal animals like civet, genet, owls, porcupines and honey badger.

There we will have a bird’s eye view of the Lowveld we’ve been exploring for the past few days before we head to a very old mining town called “Pilgrims Rest”.

Pilgrims Rest has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of the town`s cultural importance and the town seems to be frozen in time. From here we head towards Graskop, a small town where we will have lunch. After Lunch we will head over to God’s Window a view that is so beautiful that it is believed to be God`s window to see earth.
