Day 1: Panorama Route
We will pick you up at the airport or where you are staying and leave Johannesburg behind. We start descending the Drakensberg escarpment and our first stop for the day will be at one of the viewpoints overlooking the Lowveld from the Highveld at the Blyde River Canyon. There we will have a bird’s eye view of the Lowveld and you can see forever and further.
The next stop is Pilgrims rest a very old mining town that has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of the town`s cultural importance and the town seems to be frozen in time. From here we head towards Graskop, a small town where we will have lunch. After Lunch we will head over to God’s Window a view that is so beautiful that it is believed to be God`s window to see earth. Here we get a true glimpse of how earth appears from the clouds and the view is simply breath-taking!
Tonight we will be sleeping in a resort at the Blyde River Canyon and enjoy the facilities they have to offer.

Day 2: Kruger National Park, Satara
After breakfast we head for the gates of Kruger. We will game drive to camp and arrive around lunch time. Kruger is South Africa`s premiere national park and is home to all the flagship species of animals found in Africa as well as the endangered animals the park strives to protect. It is an hour drive from the gate to Satara Rest camp, along the way you will get your first introduction to the wildlife in Kruger. Satara is the predator capital of the park and offers the best opportunities to see the big cats, lion, leopard and cheetah, in their natural environment.
When we arrive at camp we will check in and enjoy lunch, you will then have a short time to relax before we head out on an exciting afternoon drive.
This evening we will have dinner under the stars at the camp.

Day 3: Kruger National Park, Satara
Early this morning, just before sunrise, we will take you on a morning safari in the Satara area. This is the best time of the day for wildlife sightings. The animals are more active in the cooler early mornings and late afternoons. Hopefully this morning we will find one of the many prides of lions that have territories in the Satara area.
We will return to camp for breakfast and then it is time for you to relax and enjoy the camp life and facilities. There are electric fences around the camps for safety but you are able to walk along the fence and if you are lucky spot some animals on the other side. There is also a big swimming pool for you to cool off in the heat of the day.
We will have lunch at camp and then go out for an afternoon safari. We will follow the rivers and enjoy some sightings of animals as they come for a drink. The area is great for gazing animals such as wildebeest and zebra.
Tonight Dinner is own expense at the Restaurant.

Day 4: Kruger National Park, Skukuza
This morning we will go on an early morning game drive. When returning, we will have a full breakfast and then depart for our next camp, Skukuza. It is 92 km to Skukuza, which is the main camp in Kruger National Park. The Camp facilities include a library, laundry, many lookout points on the Sabie River, Swimming pool and a shop filled with crafts and curios.
Lunch is own expense when we arrive and then it is time for you to enjoy yourself at Skukuza. There is a museum with a gallery of photos for you to see, a swimming pool, a restaurant and a bar.
We will go on a late afternoon drive along the Sabie River where we can see many Hippos’, and crocodiles. Then we head off on a loop, which will offer the best chance to see wild dogs. We will have dinner when we return under a starlit sky to the sounds of the African bush.

Day 5: Kruger National Park, Berg-En-Dal
This morning we will enjoy a short morning drive before we leave Skukuza and travel south to the next camp, Berg-en-Dal. We will be driving through some exciting areas with great chances to find elephant, buffalo and rhino.
We will arrive at camp and enjoy lunch before you will have some time to rest and relax or walk the rhino trail around the camp perimeter. In the afternoon you will go on an open safari vehicle for a sunset/night drive, armed with powerful spotlights. If you are lucky you will spot some of the nocturnal animals that inhabit the park like, civet, genet and porcupine.
Dinner will be served when you arrive back from the sunset drive.

Day 6: Kruger National Park, Berg-En-Dal
Early this morning, after a quick cup of coffee, we will take you on a safari drive in the area. It is a great place to find leopard and we will be searching the trees and bushes to find one of the spotted beauties for you to photograph.
We will return to camp for breakfast and then you will have some time to relax and enjoy the camp facilities. There is a wonderful trail inside the camp where you can enjoy the birdlife and views of the wild bush and animals through the fence. The camp also has a swimming pool, a shop and an outdoor theatre that shows documentaries in the evening if the weather allows for it.
This afternoon we will take you for one last safari in Kruger to find any animals on your wish list that we might not have seen yet.
Tonight we will serve dinner at the camp.

Day 7: Swaziland
Today we have a relaxed morning, breakfast and packing up before leaving Kruger NP. It is 50 km to the boarder and we will have lunch when we get to Royal Hlane National park. Roads and trails offer views of diverse wildlife such as lions, elephants, hippos, white rhinos, leopards and giraffes. White-backed vultures and other raptors nest in the ancient hardwood trees.
The camp has a waterhole, very popular with the Rhinos and you get the chance to see them very close. It is a rustic camp, no electricity. We have lots of lights and lamps and camp gets very cosy after sunset.
You will sleep in thatched cabins with private bathroom.

Day 8: Hluhluwe National Park (Mpila Rest Camp)
This morning we will leave Hlane and Swaziland and travel to the next National Park, Hluhluwe. It is a long day on the road with a 550km drive. We will stop on route for an own expense lunch at a local take away. The drive is very scenic at times and you will enjoy driving through the traditional farmlands in the Pongola region.
We will arrive at the gate to Hluhluwe in the late afternoon, at the gate there is a traditional African Crafts market where you can do some souvenir shopping.
We will then take a slow drive up the rolling hills to the rest camp, Hilltop camp. Hluhluwe is a stunning park with great scenery. The park is most famous for rhinoceros conservation and we hope to find some of these gentle giants this afternoon.
Accommodation for the next 2 nights is in traditional thatched African huts. They have two single beds, a fridge, ceiling fan, electricity and a small basin. Ablutions are shared.
Tonight is own expense and we will go to the camp restaurant for dinner.

Day 9: Hluhluwe National Park
Early this morning we will take you on a safari drive through the park. We hope to find the pride of lions that rule the area as well as some good elephant, rhino and buffalo sightings.
We will return to camp for breakfast and then it is time for you to relax and enjoy the camp facilities. There is a swimming pool, a very enjoyable forest hiking trail and viewing area with endless views of the rolling hills of Hluhluwe.
After lunch we will take you for an afternoon drive in the bottom of the Hluhluwe valley. This is the area where the African Wild dogs are often seen.
We will return to camp just after sunset and enjoy the last night in a National Park. We will serve dinner at the camp.

Day 10: Durban (Umdloti)
This morning we will take you for one last safari drive on the way to exit the park. We will cross into the Imfolozi section of the park.
We will then drive close to the Indian Ocean in a southerly direction towards Durban. We will arrive in Umhlanga in time for an own expense lunch at a local restaurant.
Umhlanga is the resort area of the Durban coast. The water in the ocean is warm all year round and there is a fantastic promenade to walk along the beach for miles. There are loads of restaurants, shops and cocktail bars all within walking distance from the B&B.
After lunch we will move into a B&B just meters from the warm Indian Ocean. The rooms offer stunning beach views from the balcony. It has 2 single beds and an en-suite bathroom.
This afternoon you will have time to soak up the sun and enjoy the beach and tonight we will go out to a local restaurant for dinner.

Day 11: Durban, Umdloti
Today we will take you to visit Durban and some of the highlights of the city. The first stop will be at the Moses Mabhida stadium. Here we will catch a funicular to the top of the stadium arch (Own expense), this is where the best views of the city and the beaches can be found.
Next we will drive the golden mile, Durban’s famous beachfront, to uShaka Marine world. The uShaka is the world famous sea world and entertainment area (Own expense). Here you can enjoy some time at the beach. You can also visit the aquarium that houses many fish that can be found in the Indian Ocean.
You will also have time to enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants found at uShaka.
After uShaka we will take you on a drive through the city and back to the B&B. Tonight we will enjoy dinner at another local restaurant.

Day 12: Durban
Today is our last day and we will transfer you to King Shaka International Airport. You have the option of flying home today or you could fly to Cape Town for a few days to relax on your own before returning home. We are happy to advise and give tips for the west coast if you choose to spend a few days that side as well.
