You will meet your Wild Planet Safari guide in Phlaborwa and after a delightful light lunch in town (own expense), head north to the northern gate of Kruger National Park, Punda Maria.

Following a brief check-in at Punda Maria gate, we make our way to tonight’s camp, in the north of Kruger.

Punda Maria camp offers an array of facilities, including a refreshing swimming pool, a hide overlooking a waterhole, a small shop, and the famed flycatcher trail—an enthralling 20-minute walk renowned for its birdlife and captivating vegetation.

This afternoon, our journey takes us along the Mahonie loop, one of Kruger’s most picturesque gravel roads. As we traverse this landscape, we’ll encounter an array of wildlife, from Nyala, kudu, impala, and zebra to the mighty buffalo and majestic elephants.

Upon our return, we gather around the campfire, savoring the magic of our first evening in Kruger. The night promises a relaxing stay in well-appointed Luxury Safari Tents.

An own expense lunch at Mopani Camp adds a delightful pause to our scenic journey, providing an opportunity to savor local flavors.

Letaba greets us in the late afternoon. Nestled on the banks of the Letaba River, the camp offers breathtaking views of the river, inviting you to spend moments of contemplation on the vast sandy banks. Letaba features a Park Shop with souvenirs and gifts, a swimming pool, a restaurant, and The Great Elephant Hall—a museum dedicated to the largest elephants in the history of Kruger National Park.

For the next two nights, your accommodation at Letaba camp comprises traditional round thatched African huts called Rondawels. Arriving at Skukuza around 1 pm, we invite you to enjoy an own expense lunch at the picturesque Sabie River, served at the camp restaurant.

Skukuza, the largest camp in Kruger, stands as the administrative capital of the park. Nestled along the banks of the famous Sabie River, the camp boasts an abundance of beautiful riverine forest trees throughout.

Your accommodation for the night is in traditional African thatched huts called Rondawels. Inside, find twin beds, a private washroom with a shower and toilet, a ceiling fan, fridge, air conditioning, and a small patio—an ideal retreat in the heart of nature.

Our journey takes us along the Sabie River, a lifeline for the park’s diverse inhabitants. In the soft morning light, we search for predators retreating after a night of activity. With a stroke of extraordinary luck, we might be treated to the sight of the resident pack of wild dogs that roam the expansive area around Skukuza—a captivating spectacle to conclude our safari adventure.

Returning from the morning drive, we gather for a hearty breakfast, a chance to reflect on the incredible wildlife encounters and shared moments of discovery throughout the past ten days. With memories etched in our hearts, we then proceed to the departure point for the return transfer from Kruger to Johannesburg.

The transfer is scheduled to Deaprt from Hazyview at 12:30pm and you will arrive in Johannesburg between 17:30 and 18:30, ensuring that you have ample time to reach your next destination.

It’s essential to note, especially for those with flights on this day, that international flights should not be scheduled before 19:00, and domestic flights should be booked after 20:30.
