Depart on the thrilling first day of your 5 Day Kruger Safari South! The scheduled transfer departs at 7 am from O.R. Tambo Airport, ensuring a seamless start to your adventure. After a scenic 5-hour drive, you’ll reach the charming town of Hazyview, just 15 minutes from the Kruger Gate. Here, you’ll meet your Wild Planet Safari Guide and indulge in a delightful own-expense lunch at a local restaurant.
Post-lunch, we continue our journey to Phabeni Gate, marking the entrance to the iconic Kruger National Park. Brace yourself for the excitement of your inaugural game drive en route to Skukuza camp, where you’ll encounter your first mesmerizing wildlife sightings.
Your two-night haven at Skukuza boasts a comfortable Rondawel with amenities like AC, an en-suite bathroom, a fridge, and a patio equipped with a table and chairs for ultimate relaxation. Explore the camp’s comprehensive facilities, including a shop, restaurant, laundry, and a refreshing swimming pool.
Later in the afternoon, embark on a short game drive along the picturesque Sabie River, offering prime opportunities to spot Kruger’s incredible wildlife against the stunning backdrop of the riverbanks.
At sunset, return to camp and relish a delightful dinner at our temporary bush restaurant, set in front of your accommodation and prepared on an open fire. This immersive dining experience allows you to savor the flavors under the African stars.

Day 2: Kruger National Park. (Skukuza Rest Camp)
Embark on an exhilarating Day 2 of your 5 Day Kruger National Park Safari South, a full-day immersion into the wonders of Kruger National Park. As the sun rises, we venture into the park, exploring areas teeming with wildlife activity, aiming to unveil magical moments unique to Kruger’s captivating landscape.
Kruger National Park stands as an unparalleled sanctuary, home to the iconic Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo. The park boasts a remarkable diversity of large mammals, including giraffes, zebras, impalas, and kudus. Rivers harbor massive crocodiles and hippos, while the elusive cheetah may grace us with its presence. With 147 mammal species, 517 bird species, and 114 reptile species, the park promises an array of wildlife encounters.
Mid-morning, we lead you to a scenic picnic site, where breakfast is served against the backdrop of the park’s beauty. Following breakfast, a leisurely return to camp offers time to relax and enjoy the camp facilities.
Lunch at camp preludes an exciting afternoon drive, extending our quest for Kruger’s diverse wildlife. At sunset, we return to camp for a brief respite before an own-expense dinner at the camp’s restaurant.
The night unfolds with a thrilling Kruger night-drive, led by a ranger armed with a spotlight, offering glimpses into the nocturnal realm. You have the chance to encounter active cats like lions, leopards, servals, and caracals, along with hyenas, porcupines, honey badgers, and more.

Day 3: Kruger National Park. (Satara Rest Camp)
Day 3 of your adventure starts just before sunrise with a rendezvous for coffee, setting the tone for a captivating day. Our morning unfolds with a sunrise safari drive along the Sabie River – a prime location for diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions, and hippopotamuses. Upon our return to Skukuza, a delightful breakfast awaits, followed by a serene moment by the Sabie River, soaking in the tranquil surroundings before our journey north to Satara.
En route, a stop at a picnic site offers refreshments, providing a picturesque interlude to our adventure. Continuing north, we traverse different lion territories, potentially encountering well-known prides, and if luck is on our side, the rare white lion may grace us with his presence. Arriving at Satara by midday, perfectly timed for an own-expense lunch, you’ll have leisure time to explore camp facilities before an afternoon drive to explore the surrounding area.
For the next two nights, your accommodation at Satara comprises traditional thatched African huts, known as Rondawels. These charming abodes feature two single beds, a private washroom with a toilet and shower, a ceiling fan, air-conditioning, and a fridge.
Satara, nestled in Kruger’s grasslands, attracts a myriad of grazing animals, making it an exceptional wildlife viewing area. A waterhole just outside the camp offers the chance to spot animals without leaving the premises. As the day concludes, dinner will be served at camp, adding a delightful touch to your Satara experience.

Day 4: Kruger National Park. (Satara Rest Camp)
As the first light graces the horizon, we gather for a swift coffee and rusks before venturing into the surrounds of Satara. Our exploration targets well-known areas, offering another chance to encounter the illustrious “Big 5.” A breakfast stop at a scenic picnic site provides a delightful break from the morning’s wildlife viewing.
Continuing our journey, we keep a keen eye on the landscape, eager to spot any movement as we meander back to camp. Upon returning, a rest period awaits, granting you time to unwind. Whether you choose a refreshing dip in the swimming pool or opt for some leisurely shopping at the camp’s curios shop, the afternoon is yours to enjoy.
As the day progresses, we will serve lunch before we embark on one last sunset drive, immersing ourselves in the beauty of the African bush and capturing the final moments of your ultimate Kruger safari.
Returning to camp, the enchantment continues with another perfect African sunset by the campfire. A delectable bush-cooked meal sets the stage for lively conversations, recounting the extraordinary bush experience.

Day 5:Kruger National Park - Johannesburg
Start your morning on Day 5 with an invigorating bush walk, expertly guided by a seasoned Kruger ranger. Immerse yourself in the enchanting surroundings, tracking footprints, observing wildlife, and discovering the intricate details often overlooked from the vehicle.
Upon your return, a hearty breakfast awaits before we bid farewell to Satara, packing up for the journey ahead. Revel in one last safari drive, tracing our way to the exit gate of Kruger National Park, Orpen Gate.
At 11 am, our guide will drop you off at the transfer meeting point in Hoedspruit, marking the beginning of your return journey to Johannesburg. The transfer drive starts with a breathtaking ascent up the Drakensberg Escarpment, offering picturesque vistas.
Anticipate reaching O.R. Tambo Airport between 5 and 6 pm.
A friendly reminder to plan your flight accordingly: domestic departures after 7 pm and international departures after 8 pm.
