Our first Wild Boy was born in Zimbabwe and raised in South Africa, Ryan has quite the story to tell but the time for that is around the camp fire. Like all of us here at Wild Planet Safari he has a tremendous passion for guiding and has a wealth of knowledge to share with you. He is a bit of a bird nerd and can never be found without a pair of bins and a birdbook. His guiding career has taken him as far from home as Mozambique, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana and Zambia. He has now settled in the country he enjoys the most, South Africa.
Chris loves the bush and has great knowledge and experience. He is born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe, moved to South Africa in 2007. His guiding career has taken him though all of Southern Africa for the past 8 years, and he has many stories to keep you entertained. Chris is always ready to answer any question and share his passion. He is know as the gentle giant of Wild Planet Safari as he towers over the rest of us. His favourite animal is the leopard and he is an expert at spotting the spotted cats.
Our 1st beast is slightly higher than our second, only by 2cm, and has been named `The Giraffe`. The vehicle is an Isuzu Pick Up with an open safari conversion, the vehicle boasts 9 seats in the rear and complete roll up sides around the vehicle. Once all the sides are up guests will enjoy 360 degree views and this will help spot animals no matter where they are in relation to the vehicle.
Our second set of Wild Wheels is another Isuzu Pick up with open safari conversion, this one is stout and tough and is named `The Rhino`. As with the Giraffe the Rhino has 4 roll up sides and comes with ponchos in case there is any bad weather as well as blankets for the cold mornings in winter.
