An Overland Tour is a unique travel experience that shows guests a more complete visit around a country and visits more than one particular highlight. Overland Tours normally include multiple activities such as game drives, walking safari, hiking and beach time. Wild Planet Safari guides all have an Overland Tour background and we attribute our overland guiding experience for helping to create the guides we are today. Overland Tours are great fun and are normally longer in duration than National Park Safari‘s.
Wild Planet Safari offer 4 different Overland Tour options and what makes our Overland Tours truly unique is that the tours are Private Overland Tours. Guests explore the areas covered by our tours together with a guide and assistant. Overland Tour are operated in closed safari vehicles as greater distances are traveled on roads.
Our shortest overland tour is a 4 Day Kruger and Panorama Tour. This Overland Tour takes guest through the beauty of the Panorama Route, the 3rd most visited natural area in South Africa. Guests will visit sites well know for their scenic beauty such as God’s Window, Berlin Falls and the Blyde River Canyon. The tour then moves over to the world famous Kruger National Park for 2 nights on Safari.
We also offer an 8 Day Bush to Beach Overland Tour, this tour includes a full tour of the Panorama Route and 4 nights inside Kruger National Park. After this exciting part of the adventure the tour moves on to Hluhluwe National Park. Hluhluwe is one of the most beautiful National Parks in the country and is situated in the rolling hills of Zululand. The 8 Day Bush to Beach finishes at the stunning beaches of the Kwa Zulu Natal North Coast where guests can soak up the sun and enjoy the warm water of the Indian Ocean.
The 3rd Overland tour in our portfolio is the 12 Day Kruger, Swaziland and Beach Tour. This tour explores a huge are on the Eastern half of South Africa including the Panorama Route, 5 Nights in Kruger, Hluhluwe National Park and the Beaches of Kwazulu Natal. The Tour also includes 1 night in the Kingdom of Swaziland which is sure to be a great cultural and wild experience.
The last overland tour that Wild Planet Safari offer is our most extensive tour, the 14 Day Eastern Circle. This Overland Tour covers the Eastern Half of South Africa in great detail. The Tour includes the Panorama Route, 5 nights in Kruger, 2 nights in Hluhulwe National Park and 2 nights at the beaches of the North Coast of Durban. The additional nights on this overland Tour are spent in the Beautiful Drakensberg Mountains, the longest and highest mountain range in Southern Africa.
